Seattle, WA

A few weeks ago, my friend and I decided to make a spontaneous trip to the big city! For us, Seattle is only about an hour and a half away, making it perfect for a day trip. We had a lot of fun exploring, walking around stores, and eating yummy food 🙂

The first place we went to was called, Arepa!

We decided to try something new, and we ended up here. The location is also really nice, since it is not in the crazy downtown area. We each got an arepa and the best mozzarella sticks we have ever had! They were so light & yummy. We would definitely come here again!

Then we went to Pike’s Place!

We then went downtown to Pike’s Place and walked around the market. While there, Warren surprised me with flowers by telling me he was going to find the bathroom. *laughing emoji* ❤

We ended up walking down to the boardwalk and went on the ferris wheel! We got to see a lot of the Puget Sound, but most of the buildings were taller than the wheel, not allowing us to see that much more. I would recommend doing the wheel once, but I don’t think I would go on it again!

Finally, we drove over to Bellevue to go to the cheesecake factory. We ordered a really yummy dinner (with huge portions!) and of course, cheesecake for dessert. I ordered the lemon meringue and Warren got the “Chris’ outrageous cheesecake”. However, we both decided that the lemon one was the best!

Overall, it was a day well spent 🙂 Seattle is great to visit, but I will enjoy my time in Bellingham without the crazy traffic & crowds.

Happy Monday! ❤

Europe Trip!

E U R O P E    T R I P :

Ever since I was about 10, I have loved Europe. I dreamed of visiting Paris & the Eiffel Tower and someday living in England. I have no idea why these dreams popped into my young mind, but they have stuck with me throughout my life. The summer that I graduated high school, I actually got the opportunity to travel to three different countries with my good friend, Mikylla.

Oregon Trip!

My family never traveled much growing up, so when summer break started for Warren & I, we decided to make a trip down to Oregon! We loved every moment of it (except when I accidentally made us turn the wrong way down a one way, that was a not so lovable moment).

The first place we went to was Portland!

Sri Lanka Mission Trip

“Do not turn aside from any of the commands I give you today; to the right or to the left, following other gods and serving them.”

Deuteronomy 28:14

This was the quote that a little boy in Sri Lanka was able to communicate to me without knowing barely any English. He read the whole chapter of Deuteronomy 28 in Sinhalese to me, and then asked me to read it back to him in English. He didn’t understand anything I was saying, and I didn’t know anything he was saying. But because we had our Bibles, we were able to communicate with each other and share this bonding moment over the Lord. During this time, a lot of boys came over to us to listen as well. It was one of the most powerful and incredible moments I have experienced.
